Tahlia, a Kamilaroi Woman, is a powerhouse for social justice. A criminologist, mother of two, and Founder and CEO of Strong Empowered Living Free, her experiences shape her advocacy for those impacted by the criminal justice system and addiction.
With a Graduate Certificate in Criminology and a Bachelor of Business (HR) from Griffith University, Tahlia's expertise lies in post-release reintegration, support, and addiction treatment, particularly for women. Her ten-year battle with addiction, ten months in prison, and the challenges of re-entry into the community fuel her passion.
Now, her lived experience informs her organisation and drives her to expose systemic issues faced by those re entering society after prison and overcoming addiction.
