Get to know Brea
Brea (she/her) is a human rights advocate with a passion for social justice. Born and raised on Yorta-Yorta Country, she now lives and works on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation.
Driven by her own experience of youth homelessness, Brea discovered the power of advocacy. During her final year of high school, she experienced homelessness and was housed in a supportive housing program. Living alongside 39 other young people from diverse backgrounds experiencing hardship, Brea witnessed the power of community and the importance of tackling inequality. This ignited her passion for becoming a
voice for those who are marginalised.
Expertise and Experience
Brea's dedication has been widely recognized. Awarded as a 7NEWS Young Achiever and Young Person Leading Change, she has also been the People's Choice for the Victorian Youth Advisory Council. Her advocacy has reached State and Federal Parliament, as well as the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
